REUNION - Dusk Union Rethought

In a shattered world of washed out sounds and faded memories. Where dusks and twilights linger, and midnights stay.

We knew from the beginning we wanted to make something different than just a traditional remix compilation. 'Reunion' is more like a companion piece, a coda to 'Dusk Union'. It contains completely deconstructed and rethought pieces recorded from 'Dusk Union' sessions. We wanted to make an album that can take on different lives when played soft or played loud. It is a record that attempts to display nostalgia and the beauty in things that are worn and decayed. Most of this material was produced with overprocessed and overdriven guitars, bathed in hypnotic layers of distortion - the cover art pretty much reflects the sound on 'Reunion'. We hope you'll enjoy this rendition of 'Dusk Union' as much as we enjoyed making it. So, turn off all the lights, close your eyes and listen loud.

A collaborative project from FOG & HTDC.

Recorded on analog 8 track 1/2" vintage tapes. Composed with guitars, various fuzz and broken effects pedals, JEN SM2007, Roland Juno-106, ELKA Rhapsody 490, Sequential Prophet-5.

Different instruments/processed guitar noise were recorded directly to Tascam 4-track cassette recorder using heavily worn-out tapes and 1950's SILVERTONE Tube reel to reel tape recorder (Sears Roebuck Co.)

NOTE: The sound contained on this release is intended and specially designed to fit the headphones. All perceived silence, pauses, sudden volume losses and audio deformations were intended.
